The technical term for describing your ability to be understood is intelligibility. We measure your level of intelligibility before the course starts, during the course, and at the end. We use a very detailed specific test which lets us know exactly the areas you need to focus on for the best gains.
No matter what your starting score, your communication will get a lot better. 1) After the first course, the average raw gain in measured intelligibility in our test population has been 30 percentage points (range=20% to 49%). Students’ average (mean) score before any instruction has been 38% (range=2% to 85%). So an exactly average student would move from 38% (before) to 68% (after). In terms of improvement, that person’s initial intelligibility has grown by 78.9% (30/38).
